Steve Houghton 1
Excellent mate! I'm intending testing mine up the Bwlch or on Fochriw before the PSS event to see how the bombs fall, and how much talc I need in mine to get a decent plume of white cloud on impact, and also to check their trajectory. Thinking about it, Fochriw would be best for me as I won't have to carry the model to the slope.
Steve McLaren
I have ordered a couple of the SLEC type but I'm not sure I can be ready for April. Not even sure which model they might fit on! Phase 6? or does it have to be PSS?
Andy Meade
Hey Steve - could we keep it PSS for the first few sessions please? Just to keep in theme with our events if that's OK. If we don't get many takers, then by all means bring along a modded Phase 6 dive bomber
Phil Cooke
Mission ready!! Can't wait until April 16th now...

Tim Mackey
I aint bothering with the soft bomb nose - it wouldnt make that much difference IMO. It wont stay fitted without some glue or whatever - which will be a faff if you intend "arming" the hollow bomb shell.
Phil Cooke
yeah me neither Tim, I couldn't get them to stick either!? Anyway, they'll make much better dents in the roof of Andy's Winnebago without the rubber nose cones fitted - it should be well shot peened by the end of the Summer! Harry Twist
I'm late (as usual) but I'm in - my bombs are on order - but not decided which model to fit them to yet! Correx Impala is my current thought! Next stop, kitchen when no-one is looking - to raid some flour........ Regards H

Phil May
Nice one Harry, another plastic pig with a bomb. 😊😊
Flyer
I take it an X-29 would still be considered PSS? with a view to fitting of non scale accurate bomb? And do I get a special prize for the lowest drop???
Steve Houghton 1
Well done Harry I was thinking what might be the best substance to put inside the bomb. You won't want to much because of the weight, and I was thinking flour may be a bit heavy. So what about chalk powder?
Tim Mackey
I was going with just a little cornflour - enough to mark the spot of impact. Could I ask peeps to consider the environment as I dont think my local council / countryside commision wardens will be pleased if we make too much mess. "Foodstuff" based material will at least bio-degrade, and please remember that we have both farmed sheep and wild kashmir goats roaming the Orme. I dont want to sound a killjoy - I just want us all to be seen as considerate and safe whilst having fun
