Dom (Essential RC)
Not seen this type of model before. Just glad I had my trusty camcorder with me to catch this excellent demo of it's ability. Not only does it properly VTOL but is relatively easy to fly. Quite impressed.

Bob Cotsford
I guess for about £270 as an RTF with TX it's not bad considering the technology involved. Why did I have to look at that video?
Dom (Essential RC)
£225 from George at 4-max without radio. I'll be expecting a full flight report if you get Bob. 😀 http://www.4-max.co.uk/aircraft-ripmax-Ripmax-Transition-VTOL-ARTF-A-RMX200.html Edited By Dom (Essential RC) on 07/08/2016 17:56:24 Edited By Dom (Essential RC) on 07/08/2016 17:57:

Phil 9
Posted by Tom Sharp 2 on 07/08/2016 20:45:45: A friend of mine had one of these as a Crimble present. They are very good for what they are, but they are basically a one flying session and then put it away model. you mean the novelty wears of quickly? Exactly and there's a very good reason to keep the cash in my pocket, sorry Dom!

KiwiKid
They could sexy it up a bit. I have been waiting for the tech to catch up so someone could produce a WolfSpider - looks like we are there.
Dom (Essential RC)
That would look good. Kinda makes it obvious that all the R&D budget for the Ripmax Transition VTOL went into how the thing flies rather than what it looks like. I don't get the 'novelty' thing. I think it would take a small number of flights to master it and then more to get the aerobatic potential out of it. Same as any other model. But it's definitely a marmite type model. I'd have to like it a lot to splash £200+ for it.
Bob Cotsford
I guess the real question is - does it have any aerobatic potential? Or is the flight controller only a stabiliser? I'm not £200+ curious.
Dom (Essential RC)
I do know a guy in the Fleet MAC who decided to buy one for FPV based on my vid...so no doubt I'll get to see another one in action and see how aerobatic it actually is
