Ian Bagshaw
Does anybody have a copy of the instructions for the Dave smith Aerostar 69 or could let me know what size the Ailerons should be cut? Trying to resurrect one here.... Thanks Ian
cymaz
I wish it hadn't crashed mine a year or two ago. I would have gladly helped.
Wilco Wingco
I've just bought one of these with a ST 75 installed. Its a bit tatty but i'm sure it will fly OK. Does anybody have any information about throws, cog in fact ant information at all. I think mine was originally built for a 60 with a pipe, I have a rear exhaust Webra 61 that would fit, what do you think??.
Nigel R
Try putting the wing / tail parameters into a CG calculator - https://rcplanes.online/cg_calc.htm Most 60 sized pattern types will all use about the same throws; try 1/4" each way on ailerons, 3/8" elevator, rudder as much as you can get. ST75 probably power equivalent to a piped 60.
John Wagg
I can give you the throws for the "62" version :- Ailerons 9mm up / 8mm down. Elevator 6mm up / 7mm down. CoG 150mm from leading edge. Give you some idea of what to expect,?
