jonryan
Anyone got a good source for these? Most places seem to think everyone uses them in pairs. Because I switch batteries between models, I use far more male than female.

jonryan
Fakes are not a good idea! I've had a hunt around the usual places. Servo City over the pond have them, but $0.59 each + post is way over the top. Surely there must be other people here who are in the same situation? Dwain Dibley.
Just a thought, but have you considered a change to XT60 plugs, they are way easier to plug in and out and solder up. They are sold singularly, male or female, or in pairs. Like you I use more of one type (female) on my batteries. Ok, you will have to buy a load but they are reasonably priced, H.King sell the genuine ones too, as there are copies out there. As I say just a thought !! D.D. jonryan
Yeah, switching is possible, but all that soldering! And then I'd have a whole lot of Deans sitting around being useless. I've just written to them in the States. If they can supply some males, would people be interested in some sort of a bulk buy?
Erfolg
I have not experienced any problem with clones of Dean type plugs. Not many of the standard household three pin plugs are made by MK anymore, do we see then automatically as inferior? In fact i have had issues with MK plugs, non with the moulded three pin plugs we all use from where ever they now originate. I do prefer the XT 60 plugs and sockets, although for me to switch it is a lot of work. Yes they are better, by design and operation. Deans were and are better in some instances than straight forward bullet type connectors, at least for safety. The XT 60s move the argument on. Tim A
HK UK Male T-Connectors Deans US $3.04 for 10 in stock.
Kevin 216
Never had a problem with Deans, but after a couple of events due to EC3 connectors failing to make firm contact I switched everything over to XT60's. As said previously easy to connect/disconnect and a doddle to solder.
Martin McIntosh
Why bother with Deans at all when most smallish packs are now supplied with XT60`s?
