Don Fry
For me I'm seeing ceps, giroles, and trumpets of death in the woods. And it's cold in the morning. And as I speak, the acorns shower down on my caravan. Like living in a loudspeaker.

McG 6969
It might be different on the Continent, John. If I recall correctly and following my ancient teachers, Autumn was beginning the 21th of September... Now, I was aware of some GMT or/and CEST differences, but never noticed it could be a whole day off. Maybe I should go back reading the Horizon H or Traplet posts... Cheers Chris

Keith Lomax
Posted by McG 6969 on 21/09/2017 19:38:51: If I recall correctly and following my ancient teachers, Autumn was beginning the 21th of September... It is the day when sunrise and sunset are closest to 12 hours apart at the equator. Due to leap years it can move between 21st and 22nd September, in the same way that the Winter Solstice can be either 21st or 22nd December. kevin b
3 days ago there was a rabbit in the middle of my back lawn, munching away. Today, no rabbit and no lawn. Just a large pile of very dead leaves. I wonder if the rabbit is underneath them. Does anyone remember the Monty Python Autumn cartoon ? It's a bit like that. So much for Autumn. According to the weather forecast Winter hits next week.

Gary Manuel
Also took this, which is my favourite so far - nothing to do with Autumn, but plenty to do with nature.
