Ron Gray
I've been lusting after one of these for quite some time, does anyone have any experience of building / flying one?
Petrol Pete
Hi, I've had one for about 10 years with about an 18 glow engine, the go like a rocket and are great fun to fly rather like a control line combat without the lines. one of the members at our club picked one up for £40 last year and love's it, there a great little hack. pete
Peter Miller
I reviewed to .40 size version back in about 2000. It was a beautiful model to fly I also built the small kit one with a speed 400 about the same time. The kit was fabulous and went together well. You won't be disappointed what ever size it is
Ron Gray
Not sure we're talking about the same thing Petrol Pete? Edited By Ron Gray on 27/02/2018 12:35:
Ron Gray
@PeterM - I fancy the 168 at 13 foot wingspan, what's not to like! Edited By Ron Gray on 27/02/2018 12:36:
Jon H
A customer in Canada has one with a 155 in it. Says it will climb at 45 degrees from takeoff at about 2/3 throttle and its generally a delight to fly with that amount of power. He also uses it for glider towing. If you get one it will be yet another model on my list of things to steal from you when you arent home as i think its a fantastic looking model. Ron Gray
155 for the 110 would be my choice as well, but what about the 168?
Jon H
Cant find the 168 as an artf, i assume its the kit you are looking at? If so it will need a pretty beefy motor. Something 50+cc i would think as its rather large! If you wanted to go for one of mine then the 360 would be the one. I dont think the 168 is as good looking though. The cowl just looks unfinished :\
Ron Gray
The 168 is only available as a kit! I take your point about the nose, it doesn't look as nice as the 110. I've also seen a couple of vids of wings failing plus I think the landing gear is a bit suspect, although that's easy enough to rectify. Looks like I'm persuading myself down the 110 route and another 155!
