onetenor
What model? Ask Brum Museum. It could be in their collection museum. A plane I trust? https://www.google.com/search?q=birmingham+museum&oq=Birmingham+Museum&aqs=chrome.0.0l6.34637j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-
Peter Christy
The only model museum that I recall was the one at Goosedale. It had quite a few large models in the collection. I have no idea what happened to them after Goosedale shut down..... -- Pete
Gary Manuel
I saw the request for info about this model on DVMFC facebook page and some of the feedback the lady has received already. I must say that I'm not a great fan of Facebook, but when used n this way it can be an incredible thing.
Mike Etheridge 1
They do have a couple of model aircraft displays at the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton where of course they have full size aircraft and a resident Ghost !. I gather they are sometimes offered model plane collections from families who have suffered a bereavement. In fact I learned to fly at Goosedale and that's where I passed my 'A'. When I retired in 1995 I used to cycle there (18 miles) fly the instructor's plane for an hour and cycle home so I got both some flying and a bike ride. It was a very hot summer as I recall. There was certainly some controversy about the ownership of some of the displayed models when it all turned sour but I was very new to the hobby at the time. It's a pity because it was great place but evidently badly run. Geoff
kc
Goosedale used to be in Nottinghamshire. A Google search for Goosedale some years ago revealed that it had closed and the museum planes had been sold to the USA.
Geoff S
Goosedale still is in Nottinghamshire (nr Papplewick and not all that far from Hucknall). It's just the museum that's disappeared. Geoff
