Daithi O Buitigh
You'd think some people would have sense, or maybe they just feel they can do what they want, where they want Dublin Airport isn't one of those places

Daithi O Buitigh
Nice thought Steve but I doubt if the Aer Corps has the funds (or the manpower). Their 'strength' (sic) is 2 CASA CN-235 (maritime patrol) 1 Learjet 45 (VIP/air ambulance) 1 Britten-Norman Defender (police support) 5 Cessna FR172H (surveillance) 6 Agusta-Westland AW139 (utility/ASR) 4 Eurocopter EC135 (2 military, 2 police support) 8 Pilatus PC-9 trainer/CAS) 3 Pilatus PC 12s on order to replace the Cessnas and about 150 personnel
SR 71
But did they see a drone ??? A lot of pilots have said they saw a drone when no one else has seen one If your a pilot of a airliner landing surely you only have time for quick glances out of the cockpit Just saying or thinking allowed?? Cuban8
Here we go again.........a 'confirmed' sighting of a drone by a pilot (confirmed by whom?). No photos, no video, no evidence of anyone seen acting suspiciously in the vicinity. Stock PR person from the airport repeating the usual line to camera. Quite frankly, there's more evidence for the existence of Yeti and Bigfoot..................

Let's hope not - we all fly drones according to the legal definition! I think that many of us believe that the 'definition' is simply a convenient legal fudge. Could have been much worse though without the efforts of BMFA and others.

Steve McIntosh
As a retired police officer I know that the least reliable witness is an eye witness. Given the limited amount of time that an airline pilot has to acquire a drone visually and then register what it is surely it is extremely unlikely to be a drone.
