Steven S
I found 1/4 scale dummy engine plans for homemade balsa version at "The cubden.org" and printed the pdf at 66% so that I can make one. **LINK**

Denis Watkins
Denis, I would normally run these small four strokes on 10% but the 5 was in my box. My OS 26`s are happy on a 10x6 but I have added an extra head shim to them so that I can use up to a 12x5 on 20%. Next time out it will be a 9x5. The top end was sensitive on 5%. Rather than strip the carb. to see what the previous idiotic owner has done to it I shall wait and see since the 10% will require a richer mix anyway. Small 4strokes are my favourite weapon of choice Martin, and your comments do point to fuel feed, tank, carb etc, as you indicate, as a probable cause Let me comment on a sound motor set up With the motor runnning, there in no needle sensitivity You can go 3 clicks either way, up or rich, and the motor would still run Your suspicion about the previous owner as a guide, the needle should not be bottoming out to run You have found a way into a remedy Still a brilliant plane though

Tim C
Progress stalled over the summer, weather was too nice for building and I was never going to finish it for the club construction and finish competition, in addition impending wedding of Daughter 1, meant the temporary loss of workshop factories, as it was requisitioned for storage ! , anyway back to work now the wedding has passed and nights are drawing in. I have been working on completing the flaps and ailerons, and mounting the elevator and rudder servos. For the rudder I am using a pull-pull system, the cables get a clear run from the servos to the rudder. For the elevator I am using a snake, I designed and 3d printed these mounts to support the snake, they will get painted black in due course, but look more “scale” and part of the open structure. currently working on a steerable tail wheel, using a modified hobby king mount, more soon. Steven S
Hi Tim - good to see that you are still working on your Cub, sounds like you had a busy summer. I'm still working on mine, the fuse is basically done and covered and I am working on my wing now. I have left my options open on the battery box area and would be interested in your solution. Your's seems to be the only other "electric" one being posted.
