Hi All, I've just acquired a JR DSX9 transmitter, & have a couple of queries about it's use & abilities, hopefully they're not overly inane!

First off, where does the Buddy Lead plug in to the tranny, & is a standard lead usable?

Second, can you assign one of the stick outputs to a switch? Either slider or toggle.

Thanks a lot,

Regards,

Jeff.

Cheers Dennis,

Yes, I'm OK with the toggle/lever differences, but my query was probably a bit mad, but I have a 3 channel leccie fun foamie, with a 4 channele receiver (new Spektrum type) & had a thought (dangerous I know!).

Could I re-assign the redundant aileron out put (joystick) to a "switch", & use it as a flap output? Be pleased to have any thoughts.

Thanks, Jeff.

Mixing, AIL to FLAP on Mix Switch

Mixing

Mixing allows control input for a channel to affect more than

one channel at a time. Mixing functions support:

• Mixing a channel to another channel.

• Mixing a channel to itself.

• Assigning offset to a channel

• Linking primary to secondary trim.

These mixes are available for each model memory:

• 10 programmable mixes

• Cyclic to Throttle (HELI)

• Swashplate (HELI)

• Elevator to Flap (ACRO)

• Aileron to Rudder (ACRO)

Assigning a Mix to a Switch

If you wish to assign a mix to a switch position:

1. Make sure you are in the desired mix screen.

2. Move the switch you want to assign the mix to.

3. Scroll to the switch position where you want the mix to be

active.

4. Press the scroll wheel to activate the mix. When the box is

filled, the mix is active.

The mix is Active when the box is filled and Inactive when the

box is open. You can assign a mix to be active in multiple switch

positions (0,1 or 2).

Tip: Use Auto Switch Select to select the switch.

CAUTION: Always do a Control Test of your model after

changing mixes.

Back Mixing

Back Mixing applies a mix to all related servos in a wing or tail

type. For example, if you select 2 AIL, 2 FLAP in the Aircraft Type

screen, a mix to one aileron channel affects both aileron servos.

The mix response, however, depends on the aileron channel

included in the mix.

A Back Mix also enables you to use fewer mixes to achieve the

desired response, for example adding roll to a split elevator.

28

• Rudder to Aileron/Elevator (ACRO).

• Aileron>Rudder (SAIL)

• Aileron>Flap (SAIL)

• Elevator>Flap (SAIL)

• Flap>Elevator (SAIL)

Thanks so much Dennis, I really do appreciate the help. I don't think I realised how comprehensive the DSX9's abilities were when I bought it! Looks like I've got lots to learn!

I'll work my way through all you've listed, & see what I can achieve, thanks again,

Regards, Jeff.

P.S. Have you thought about writing a fully understandable user manual for the DSX?
