Edgeflyer
Does anyone have direct experience of using the wireless trainer fscility in the 2nd generation txs, as master, to link to a gen 1 tx such as a DX18 that predates wireless training? According to the Spektrum website a new DX8 will link wirelessly to "any DSMX or DSM2" Tx. That seems clear but dies it actually is work? I need to know before investing in a 2nd tx to use as a master trainer. My understanding is that the master, with wireless facility, binds to the rx in the model, then the slave, through dsmx binding, attaches to the "rx" in the master tx. The master then passes through data from its internal rx to its rf output, when in training mode. is this correct? Please advise

Paul Marsh
The Master TX has to have the wireless tech on it, as it's the main link. Using another TX non-wireless is ok as long its a slave.
Denis Watkins
Phil It is far simpler actually doing it than writing it down here. It all works briliantly The wireless master " aquires " the slave, Pretty much like binding another receiver. There is no buddy lead to trip over or drag from the back of either Edited By Denis Watkins on 18/07/2020 15:56:
John Lee
Like Steve I've used a DX9 as the master with a number of different Tx's, including my old DSM2 JR DSX12, as the slave. All works fine. Your DX18 should equally be good with a new DX8 Phil, and your understanding of the process is the same as mine.
