Martin Fane
Hi Danny Great to see this build progressing, keeping me very interested so please keep going FYI, it looks like hobbyking do a sequencer that may work for the retracts. Danny Fenton
Hi Martin, you should show some of your build Thanks for the heads up, but both my radio systems, Jeti and FRSky have the ability to program sequencers in the Tx, so a separate sequencer should not be needed. Not sure what this will use yet.....but probably FRSky. Cheers Danny
Graham Perkins
Hi Danny, Since getting back into R/C planes this year due to a little more spare time on my hands I have been keenly following this thread. I have a Tony Nijhuis P51 build on my workbench which I am modifying to make a little more scale like. I have gone for RDS ailerons with them hinged similar to this thread. All nice and neat but one thing about my P51 that bugs me is the tail wheel setup. I just don't like the TN nose gear retract arrangement and want it a bit more accurate with the full size. I notice you posted a couple of shots of your tail wheel on this model but not enough detail for my ageing brain to work out how you did it. Could I be cheeky and ask you to elaborate a bit on how you solved the problem with some pics? I'd love to get that tail wheel sorted. Happy New Year, Graham
Danny Fenton
Hi Graham, sorry for the slow response. The P-51 build is better documented on the RCSB forum. There are also some threads on there that you should consider, one by DavidQ and another by Brian Wood. both superb modellers. Here is my build *link* Brians *link* Davids *link* Cheers Danny
Graham Perkins
Hi Danny, Thanks for those links. I will try to digest the contents, especially the tail wheel part and see how I can apply it to my build. Graham
