John Wagg
I use the Opera browser for generally all my PC browsing. I have had to come onto Chrome to use this forum. On Opera I can access the new main website (www.modelflying.co.uk) but not the Forum page. When I try to access the Forum pages I get the message = Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Any ideas why? The old forum website worked just fine on Opera. P.S. really not impressed with this new site but that's another post. Dickw
Are you using the "Forums" link in the main website header? Does it make any difference if you type in the link manually? https://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/ Dick
FlyinFlynn
I also use Opera as my browser and after the initial 'can't find that page' message I requested the home page by deleting everything after the .co.uk and it found that and I was able to navigate the site ok after that. Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Hi John.....it might be worth clearing the cache from your browser....there might be something lurking in there. How to clear the cache in Opera Press the keys [Ctrl], [Shift] and [del] on your Keyboard. ... Select the period "since installation", to empty the whole browser cache. Check the Option "Images and Files in Cache". Confirm your settings, by clicking the button "delete browser data". Refresh the page. The link to the forum site is here **LINK**
John Wagg
Thanks for all your replies guys. Tried your various suggestions but unfortunately non has worked. A real mystery as no problem in accessing the main front page just the forum's page. Using "Explorer" to access the forum. I'm sure something will turn up. John Wagg
No idea why but the forum on Opera started working this morning. Didn't work yesterday when I tried. I have done nothing, made no changes but something has woken up.?
Martin Harris - Moderator
That's good news. I've been using the mobile version OK since the move. Let's hope your glitch was just that...
