Walts
Hi all, I bought this motor years ago, I believe iirc from Hobby King. It was so long ago now I can't even remember what I bought it for in the first place! There are absolutely no markings anywhere on the motor or packaging. I know its a long shot. But has anyone got a best guess as to what it is, what size Pro it will turn, and what size model it might fly? Thanks, Wants.
Shaun Walsh
If you still have access to your hobbyking account you may be able to check your old orders and find the information you need.
Walts
I think I must have bought it on an old account, as my latest Hobbyking account only shows two orders. I know I bought a shed load of stuff from them over the years though.
Phil Green
HK email confirmation, check your old emails. What are the motors dimensions?
kevin b
Looks like a standard 2822 motor, though you can't tell the kva without testing it properly. It could be anything from 800 to 2200kva. What you need is somebody with one of these.
Stephen Jones
You will have to take measurements and see how many coils it has, but it could be this one. Steve Edited June 24, 2023 by Stephen Jones missing image
PatMc
If you have or can borrow a tachometer & a DVM or wattmeter you can calculate the Kv. Just divide the rpm by applied volts at full throttle.
Walts
Thanks PatMc, I'm pretty sure I actually have both of those gadgets somewhere. I'll have a rummage tomorrow!
