Don Fry
Err, flyin, don’t recall the steel melting, twisting due to loss of load bearing ability, as the fireman’s mantra from long before leccy cars were produced went, “don’t trust a truss” in my world a Dutch oven is a casserole pan with lid. Complex thing is fire and many factors at play in the various types. Certainly every opportunity for air to be drawn in through the open sided structure

Offshore oil/gas production platforms enclosed modules are designed for a certain number of air changes per minute with gas detection sensors to monitor hydrocarbon, with non hazardous modules being at a slightly higher pressure to prevent hydrocarbon ingress. As you can guess quite expensive so where conditions permit open sided is preferred.
