James Finn
Hi all, After being out of the game for a number of years I'm trying to get back. I've dusted off my old collection and now trying to get them flying again. I have an old Lo Boy that needs a new canopy. Does anyone know where I might get one. I've just discovered Ripmax have gone so I'm unsure where to try. All suggestions are welcome. Regards. Jim Ireland
Martin Harris - Moderator
Welcome to the forum. I understood that Ripmax were being reorganised but perhaps I’ve missed something? Have you tried Vortex Vacforms? If they don’t have a pattern they may have something else that will fit.
Geoff S
The Lo Boy wasn't sold by Ripmax but by Precedent/SLEC which is still in business. AFAIK the model is discontinued but they may have old stock - or, of course you could have a go at making one out of an old plastic bottle. SIMON CRAGG
Always carve one out of blue foam. Great model, had years of fun out of mine!,

Andy Stephenson
Sarik are another supplier of canopies but their range is specified for their plans and short kits so it may be a good idea to send them a sketch and they can recommend something that might be suitable. https://www.sarikhobbies.com/
Geoff S
You could always convert it to an open cockpit and fit an easy-to-make windscreen 🙂
