Old Helicopter - What to do

Hi,

I have inherited an old radio controlled helicopter.

I don't have any particular interest in flying it.

Is it worth anything to anybody?

It looks very different to what people are flying these days.

There are some photos of it, plus one of it in flight - I assume that the helicopter is from the 1970's.

There's a box with it - I think it is some kind of starter motor.

I'm in Southampton.

Hi Milnee. That's a Morley Hughes 300. I used to have one many years ago but I stupidly sold it and I'd love to have another but you are a bit too far away from me. Your model looks in pretty good shape and deserves to fly again so hopefully it will find a good home.

I know some people who might well be interested. I've got quite a few old helis - a Morley Bell47 and a 2c, several MicroMold Larks and a couple of Schluters. There are people out there looking for them, and that one looks to be in good condition for its age.

Let me check around, and I'll get back to you...

Paul, I think we might have a mutual friend, Tony, who flits between the UK and France. If you are interested on the H300, I could collect it for you, and pass it on to Tony next time he's in the UK.

Tony Harrison ?, if so Yes please, he is coming down in April, he said that he was in a Devon club.

 thanks Paul

Yes, that's him!

I'll let you negotiate a price with Milnee (original poster). Just let me know if/when you've concluded a deal, and I'll arrange to pop over to Southampton and pick it up.

Edit: I don't think there's a PM system on this forum. Tony has my email address, if you want to contact me directly.
