  1. Don't for Don't forget the caster as without it your engine won't gum up properly 🤣
  2. I bought some Blenderm recently off eBay and it was expensive at £5 or £6 for a 4.5m roll, then the other day i noticed SMC are flogging it off cheap https://sussex-model-centre.co.uk/products/db916-electric-flyer-hinge-tape-5-yds-7 I've used Scotch tape and it's almost as good as Blenderm but I didn't regret buying the proper stuff as it will last for quite a few models.
  3. You will know if there are any petrol engines flyers in your club from the racket they make!
  4. Hello Carlos and welcome. Following your build, it looks good. Your little doggie is waiting for you to finish it😅
  5. Still getting getting slow/no access to forum, seems to happen random times the last being about 20 minutes ago, fine now
  6. I stuck 6g servos with hot melt glue and covered my Coyote with Solarfilm. If they ever need replacing then I just cut the film and cover with a patch. Your 9.8g servos will be perfect.
  7. If you can find a local archery club they will have damaged arrows they will gladly give you. You can buy left hand M3 dies to make your own turnbuckles.
  8. Rosso in the above post's is the man you need to contact.
  9. Waggle the wings, if they go the same way as the stick it's going away from you, if they go the opposite way it's coming towards you.
  10. Best wishes Matty, flying again soon I hope. 3d printed titanium, that's cool!
  11. I've never seen a cow in a workshop before 😄

  13. Drop goals are much more exciting than penalty kicks though....
  14. Erfolg. If you fit a gyro to the elevator there is no need to link it to the throttle. The gyro will damp out any unwanted pitching, throttle or no throttle. If you input elevator the gyro won't try to stop the effect.
  15. Hi Milnee. That's a Morley Hughes 300. I used to have one many years ago but I stupidly sold it and I'd love to have another but you are a bit too far away from me. Your model looks in pretty good shape and deserves to fly again so hopefully it will find a good home.
  16. The Vampire looks like it's been folded up and opened out again like a crumpled piece of paper, or is it just a poor photo?
  17. I've got a SLEC Coyote that I built about 18 months ago, great kit flies really well despite managing to buil a small warp in the wing! It is well designed with parts for glider or electric version and everything fits precisely, even some film to protect the huge, clear plan is provided. I powered mine with a small outrunner and 3s 1300mA lipo. Although is flies really well I wouldn't recommend the Coyote for a first model as it's a bit small and fast, move onto it after a high wing trainer.
  18. Why do you say that? My Sonata E flew perfectly well as designed with an elevator on one half of the tailplane. When I built an old Kiel Kraft Ladybird kit I converted it to electric power and only fitted an elevator to one half of the tailplane it flies beautifully.
  19. The people at Angel wings will probably know the answer to that question.
  20. Yes a gyro would help. A gyro smoothes out uncommanded movements during flight. I use a 7 channel Lemon DSMX receiver that has a built in 3 axis gyro that I only switch in if it's likely to be a bumpy landing. It definitely smooths out those bumps on a turbulent day.
  21. If you decide to keep your brushed motor I have a box of brushed ESC's under my bench, you can have the one for the cost of postage. Don't expect much in performance from a brushed motor but with a lightweight lipo battery pack it might be ok. Back in the the day when I flew electric gliders using a brushed motor and nicads power to weights ratio was marginal.
