Shaun Walsh
All it means is that male PCSOs will be given black and yellow stripey uniforms, have their tasers taken away and be told to get there ASAP.🤣 1
Geoff S
If the s/w works as well as the Horizon Post Office system, it'll be money down the drain. Just as long as Fujitsu have nothing to do with it - they'll claim it works when it clearly doesn't. Facial recognition technology is fairly dodgy, too. Beards tend to confuse it, as do non-white faces. Magic solutions tend to be as etherial as 'real' magic IMO
Zflyer
If you want proper policing you need proper prosecutors and proper judges. As most now come from university backgrounds ptoper solutions get shunned. Where you try to impose s3lection criterea somebody gets all twisted cos they have a glass eye and the system aint fair. As for more laws, how about we enforce the ones we have. And as for the police being corrupt racist rapists sharp intake of breath they come from the heneral population. Much like other professions. (Who tend to be less scrutinised)
Don Fry
2 hours ago, steve too said: From the budget. Written on the back of a fag packet. Vapour to deceive. As for the police. A stretched organisation gets to lose 20% of its manpower, social services offloads a load of Mental Health act stuff onto them cos social services can no longer cope. Then the police bosses go mad. That murdering copper in the met had a nickname, “the pervert”. Now I might just spot that as what is technically known as “a clue”. And they spend time doing vacuous hate crime. Also note Zflyer’s comments. oh, and not a political statement, this government has a fair track record of gaps between promise and delivery. Rant over. oh, just remembered, back in the 90s, I worked for a year or so for a home office organisation, National Strategy for Police Information Services. Home office and strategy is a little like relying on a blind man leading troops towards the enemy. Just look a the codswallop of drone licensing. Ranted out. steve too
The police currently use unmanned aircraft LOS. It is not surprising that they are interested in using them BVLOS.
