Erfolg
I am having problems with these ESCs, marketed as "Yosoo 40 amp Health Gear". At first I thought the ESCs were faulty, then I thought both fan units were doof. I first thought that the ESC, BEC was faulty. I determined that it was driving the RX and servos. I then thought that the fan units were faulty, although one turned about 1/3 rd rev, then just sat there. I use a Futaba, therefore reversed the the throttle prior to starting the set up. I set the throttle to max before putting power onto the Rx. On hearing the beeps, I moved the throttle to no power. It has then continued to various beeps, the motors not doing anything. I have tried other combinations getting nothing but beeps, the servos continued to work. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Erfolg
I should have mentioned that they drive a outrunner motor. Have been using a 3s Lipo. I do intended running on a 4000 4s lipo, which arrived yesterday.
John Lee
Never heard of the brand but when I looked it up I noticed this: so it's doing what it says! Presumably there is something that over-rides this 'feature' Is there a manual?
RottenRow
Have you made sure that the range of your throttle channel covers -100% to +100%? Can you monitor that on your transmitter? Most, if not all, ESCs require the throttle output to be at minimum on power-up for them to initialise. Anything else will prevent the motor from running, which I think is what is being alluded to in the red underlined sentence in John’s post above. Make sure that you have the ESC plugged into the correct channel output on the receiver (channel 3 on Futaba). If still no-go, plug a servo into channel 3 to verify that the output is varying as expected with the operation of the throttle stick. To do this you’ll either need to connect the ESC into an unused channel (to supply power to the RX) or use a 4.8V battery. Brian.
Erfolg
Hmm, I am not getting notifications at present, never the less I have been busy with a number of issues, including a model servo issue. As with most things when you think it is five minute Joby, 4-5mhours later. I hope to be back on the issue this weekend.
Erfolg
I have found an advert with reference to a " emitting rods", any ideas what this is?

RottenRow
Emitting Rods…It’s meaningless; probably a poor translation from chinese into English. My best guess would be that it is referring to the sounds that the ESC (or more correctly, the motor windings) emits when programming. Brian. Erfolg
The problem has now been resolved, the forum has played a part in finding the solution. My frustration lead me to looking to purchase two additional ESCs. The proviso that should not be the same, I was looking for an ESC that clearly would have a Programming Card, or at least an online programming file. I soon became aware that many had the same the text on their web page, also they looked the same physically, even the text layout often at glance seemed the same. This is a short list of those that had these traits Wangel, Da Honony, Drfeify, Nuofancy, Eddwin Readytosky. I assume that the names have some sort feel in particular sales markets. Most seemed bazar to me. Perhaps more surprising, is that there appears to be UK based sale points that also are selling the devices. I have not noted these as I imagine that there would be flat denials, although there's may be a variant on the basic device. I was surprised that the prices vary massively, apparent UK devices were often in excess of twice the price of the lower offered units. Much to controversial to identify these sellers. It was from this set of searches and observation I finally came across a programming chart, that gave a method of setting the throttle. Firstly as a contributor to the thread suggested, the Tx throttle must be set at + & - 100%, the trim set at 0. Now, Switch on TX, move throttle to high point. Now connect Lipo, wait two seconds, or two beeps, then move throttle to lower limit. There will then be a series of beeps, indicating the number of cells (4 in my case). Immediately remove the power source to the Rx. On reconnecting, the throttle is now set. Of course I had so little faith, I have not recorded the address, which I may need to set the timing for Fan units to high timing.
