  1. Thanks David. Iv'e just been doing some research online and see the glue (Literally) back on method. I have UHU and Foam 2 Foam glues. Will they do or is UHU Por different?
  2. Hello, My Phoenix 2000 glider foam hinges (Aileron and Flap) have disappointingly come away. They are the cheap simple type which basically are a continuation of the foam itself that creates the hinge. What is the best way to repair them?
  3. Yep, the site is always slow which is a real shame and puts me off sometimes but today its even worse.
  4. Every now and then someone comes up with a masterpiece that you just cant keep your eyes off, this is one of those builds. Beautifully built, can not wait to see it fly. You sir are a genius.
  5. Posted by Dave Hopkin on 14/09/2014 20:02:14: With the servo arm centered aim to get the control surfaces in a neutral position by adjusting the length of the linkage (typically you will have at least one clevis on a thread that will give length adjustment) Moving the linkage on the horns will alter the throw distance - Outer Servo, Inner horn gives the max throw Some great advice from all, brilliant stuff. Just goes to show you learn something new everyday. It seems so simple now that it is written down but 'Outer Servo, Inner horn gives the max throw' is a great tip. Thanks.
  6. Some of mine, I'm no photography expert by a long shot, just for fun. Hope you don't mind me sharing.     Edited By Ross Clarkson on 16/09/2014 10:07:56 Edited By Ross Clarkson on 16/09/2014 10:12:05
  7. Great photos, that Curtiss Hawk 75 sounded amazing.
  8. Took me 5 hours from doorstep to getting on site. 2hrs to Royston then 3 from there! Worth every second, was brilliant.
  9. Superb model, glad the maiden went well. Can't imagine how a maiden like that feels. It's bad enough for me after putting a RTF model together. Brilliant, congrats.
  10. Absolutely brilliant Reg, what a great model. Wouldn't have got me any where near the full size though!
  11. Great video. Those Breitling Wingwalker models could easily be real, amazing. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Not in a sadistic way at all but I could watch videos like this over and over, absolutely world class flying and recovery. Makes our dead-sticks look rather tame.
  13. Leading edge aircraft, first class paint job. Absolutely world class, thanks for sharing.
  14. Some cracking photographs and also some amazing models.
  15. RAF Broadwell near me is now a Solar Farm!!!!
  16. I'm actually a little shocked by that vid..........posted for all the right reasons Pete, members of our hobby need to see things like this if not for education alone. I don't normally like to dwell on the "What could of happened" type scenarios but that was a bit close for comfort!!!
  17. That is ridiculous news, such a shame. I used to fly over it regularly and have operated from it. It is a beautiful little strip that will be a big miss.
  18. Brilliant, as much as it is probably seen as being reckless or silly, every one of those people stood (Or jumping out of the way in fear!!! ha ) loved it and will talk about it for years. I remember (and still do with my little boy sometimes and also at RIAT) standing on the fence at the end of 08 at Brize watching the VC-10s land. Now, there is a lot of threshold still available at that point but some occasionally appeared to be seeing how tall the fence was! Good times = St Maarten regularly, Bad times = C-130 that unfortunately had its rear ramp down!
  19. Posted by Daniel Katz on 09/07/2014 10:44:10: What an amazing forum! Thanks so much for your encouraging words of advice and support. I would like to try a club, but Wormword Scrubs is a bit inaccessible for me, and I may go it alone, at first - with a Supercub which appears to be quite forgiving of a beginner! In the future, if the bug does bite, I will certainly join a club if II can find one a bit closer to me . Thanks again, Daniel "IF" the bug bites?? Ha Ha, good luck with that in the future!! Have you got pockets deep enough and a garage big enough for your future collection!? Good luck, you will be just fine. Start slow, research and then research again, practice practice and all will be ok, expect the unexpected and don't be too disappointed when you fly one into the ground.
  20. Yes, its the plug and play version Steve. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__29762__5V_5A_UBEC_2_5S_Lipoly_7_2_21v_UK_Warehouse_.html Pete, is this UBEC ok, i have already ordered it?     Edited By Ross Clarkson on 04/07/2014 22:53:10
  21. Thanks guys, will keep it stock but get some 1300mah batteries, cheers.
  22. Got my Phoenix 2000 today. Have been reading up and cant decide what to do regarding the stock ESC etc... I will be installing flaps and using 11.1v 2200mah 3S batteries, i have a spare 70A Esc that is not being used so should I install that rather than using the stock 30A?
  23. Sounds like John is going down the correct procedure on reporting this and fully agree with BEB's comments. John, you mention photos but did anybody video it? If not, make sure somebody does next time. A photo paints a picture but a video makes the Sistine Chapels roof come to life.
