Well done👏 Dirk did not realise been following your build for 5 years. Beautiful model built by a master. -
Regarding the plating stripping is it viable to get the liner cleaned up and replated with hard chrome, assuming you would have to hone to suit your piston if it is serviceable?

Is this what the future holds for scale modelling ?

Then again how many of those can you get for one £35million F35 which already needs new engines as the present ones are no good. -
They took the wings ,engines and tail planes of the Beaufort added a new fusalage and we had the Beaufighter.

Despite all the what if opinions that people are entitled to, he knew the rules and regs and ignored them , he was an idiot!!! There was a pilot in the aircraft and people close by, it's a shame about the suspended sentence should have been put inside to deter others. See how much you duck when a stone hits your car windscreen, do that at 300ft and you are a hole in the ground.

Isn't that "Halifax' actually a Wellington?
alan p replied to Chris Downing's topic in RCM&E Magazine
I noticed it too, a late friend was a nav on wimpies, thought it might be nit picking to point out the halifax had lost 2 engines.😔. Obviously not proof reading😲 -
Having aquired a OS 46 SF from a club member's collectionwho has passed away, I have found the liner has started to strip. Is anyone able to direct me to a spare liner/piston or compatible spare. Apparently a SC 46 liner/piston is compatible.

Must agree that tool post looks grim, can you not take into work and have it skimmed on a mill. It was std practise in days gone by to shim tools for correct ctr height. Tools not of replaceable cardide tips, every regrind needed fresh shim always had selection in toolbox. Modern youth spoiled😉 good luck on your turning👍
