    Hi David, completed my Mystic last year but only managed limited flying due to you know what 😨 it is a great model to fly and is one of my favourites . My set up is ASP 120 FS, std size Towerpro metal gear digital servos, closed loop rudder and elevator servo at the back (got a thing about snakes) with the sheeted tail I used a 6v subC pack up front to get the CG right but that will depend on the engine used. The Mystic has been around for many years and the kit has not changed a great deal over the years, some of the parts will need a little fettling to get a good fit but nothing to worry about. I ordered the GF cowl optional extra but I could have glass clothed inside the standard kit one to be honest. If you want to fit the supplied spats work out how you want to fit them to the UC wire before you fit them, I am not keen on spats so I did not bother. No idea what size fuel tank I used just found the largest I had and loaded it behind F1 there is enough room to fit a bucket in there 😂. Waiting to be let loose again so I can get some more flight on the Mystic fingers crossed it won't be long now 👍 Paul

    Difficult times for everyone and can cause a great deal of stress, good to see nearly all forum posts are our usual friendly banter it's a credit to the folks who are posting 👍. We went to the Çanary Islands early December to visit friends the ĺockdown cancelled our return flights 😨 now our next available flight home is end of March 😱. Nice place of the world to be stuck ! But it's not home and we are far away from our jabs ! . Not complaining it was a risk we decided to take at the time so it's just a matter of getting your head in the right place and waiting for a flight back home. There are many folks in a heck of a worse position than us so we will just make the most of the situation until we can get back 👍 Paul.

    If your wing is a parallel chord this is the method I use, Ply template, glue piece of balsa to get a hold of, two pins with balsa placer to protrude just enough to prevent movement when cutting, don't forget a sharp blade helps. Pinched the idea from Peter Miller 👍 I have no shame 😂😂

    Unfortunately kids will mix freely around a lamp post, park bench , street corner and any animate object it's all part of being a kid. We all know what we should and should not do after 12 months of this virus but being realistic our only way out is vaccination we just need to do the right thing until we get there. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I am reasonably sure it's not a train coming 😉👍

    Looks like I got a bit ahead of myself today , tried to renew my membership for 2021 in the portal but can't appear to do it until 2nd December . Thought it was active from 1st December but apparently not, just when I thought I was getting organised for once 😂😂

    Looking good Shawn, I used a ply wing joiner as well 👍 with all the sheet on the wings they are realy strong , I think Terry aways built light and only added strength where needed. Paul,

    I would recommend selecting a few fair minded forum members to user test the beta version using some real data , this will give you good feedback and identify any issues that need to be sorted . Importantly you will have also gained some user buy in who will also help others find there way through the new system , get yourself some key forum users you will need them when you go live 👍😉. I know from experience these things can go well and everyone wonders what all the fuss was about or it can turn ugly really quickly , and don't forget to book yourself a realy nice holiday next year 👍😂 Paul.

    'Lurking ' is legal in the uk so long as the police do not see you 😨 according to my son although I am beginning to suspect that he is pulling my leg ( hope that translates ok 😂 . My granddaughter is at university in Bangor just down the road and they have just gone into 17 day ' fire break ' that's a Welsh lock down as I understand it, she's ok with that as she informs me that it's a great opportunity for her to get her work completed. We are well Impressed as at her age I would have been focused on other activities 😂 Paul.

    Hi Chris I am still 'lurking ' on the side line following your posts it's a fascinating build and I am realy enjoying it. We had a recent trip to Wales and spent two days in Llandudno by the Great Orm , it was a nice sunny day and thought about the fly in that had to be cancelled hopefully just delayed for a while. Recently changed our Internet provider fortunately our went well with no problems 👍. Sorry to hear about Iris job issues , I am sure it will all work out ok in the end I am sure this will work out to be a new opportunity to find something better. Stay safe, Paul.
