Depending on what you are doing, sheets of Fablon (or Blue Peter sticky back plastic) I did a bespoke foamie with this. S

Love the Auster as well. First plane I ever flew in. Gave me the flying bug for all time! S

Erfolg You can get measuring pots from Bucks Composites or slightly smaller ones from Hobbycraft and for small (stick a joint amounts) I use yoghurt pot lids. Hope this helps S

Martin I like the 3rd one with all the blue BUT it may go missing in the air, so I’d go with the middle one I have the same kit to make, but the ic version. I quite like the fighter/bomber colour scheme. S

Thanks, this looks good as well but very heavy and I don’t think my workshop roof will take it. But good input. I think I will have to refrain from building for several weeks and let the pills work, I am on a a 5 week course to clear my breathing plus a nebuliser. At the end of the day I may have to “focus” on ARTF models. This is the second episode in 12 months. S

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I use appropriate masks when sanding and spraying. The problem is the airborne particles that float around in the air after sanding or spraying. I noticed how much of a problem it was one day recently when the sun shone through the window. The garage looked as if it was full of airborne dust which didn’t settle for a long time. I hadn’t realised how much hangs in the air. S

Thanks for the input guys, at the moment I’m weighing cost against how I’m breathing now. I’m asthmatic to boot which makes this a big issue for me at the moment, but an ongoing issue as well. The Jet AFS 500 May well be in my sights. I’ll pop along to my nearest Axminster store in the New Year but as said, all opinions very welcome. S

Having another bout of bad breathing so looking at getting an air filter. Shocked when low sun highlighted the dust hanging in the air even after finished and removing mask! (I use both dust mask and fume masks as needed) Looking at the Jet system and will look at the Microclene after the new year. Building on hold until resolved! Any further advice to above welcome. (Yes I could go all foamy, but where’s the fun in that, no building.) S

I use a Meaco DLL unit when the weather is damp and when I have the gas heater on. Works a treat. Not cheap mind, but therein may be why it’s good. Kept my Harley dry for many years. S

About 11 if I count those in the loft, ready to fly and those in the garage. Any ideas on label suppliers, I don’t have a Dymo machine? S

Meaco DLL, working in the garage for many years and still in use when the gas heater is on. Had one in the conservatory as well. Very pleased with it. You can have it “ plumbed “ in so it drains out the door or use the inboard tank. S

I’ve been very much less concerned knowing they are in the Bat-Safe. Batteries seem to be most at risk when charging so the fact that they are charged and stored in the same box keeps everything in one place and I have no concerns. I also use a parallel board for charging. Prior to buying the box I was always wondering what a risk the lipo’s were to my garage. S

Looking at the You Tube demo, it looks that the Battsafe will also filter some of the smoke emitting from a Lipo fire. I think that is a key feature of the Battsafe, I don’t have the documents that came with my Battsafe but the FAQ’s are on the link. https://www.bat-safe.com/faq

Another vote for the Battsafe. It’s purpose made for the job and there is a video on You Tube somewhere showing it’s effectiveness. S

Hi, Finally got underway with mine. Wings done but putting the aileron horns into place they are different to the ones in the instructions, and barely poke above the depth of the aileron. Am I missing something? Never used this horn layout before. Thanks for any ideas. S

Hi I use Epoxy. I suspect PVA but I like the solidity of Epoxy, and a slower setting one at that. S
