  1. For those small engines a small geared one will do, I did have Gary's one looonnnggg ago ( 1970's), but it didn't last long, maybe the gears are better now, if not this one ?. https://www.justengines.co.uk/shop/accessories/starting-gear/jen-6-51-geared-starter-12-24-volt/?v=11aedd0e4327
  2. What sort and size engines do you have ?, This on a 12volt battery or a lipo on 3s will start anything up to a 30cc petrol.
  3. Crocus finished long ago, daffodils started last week.
  4. This was on Rc groups,, 14SG has a built-in motor function that includes a off lock switch. Go to the Link, Function menu. Change throttle (THR) to Motor (MOT). That will automatically give you a safety switch. Go to the Model Menu (MDL button). On the 2nd page you will have a new menu called MOTOR. MOTOR menu allows you to set a safety switch and OFF value. I use SW G and also assign that switch to timer start.
  5. I just used Throttle cut, it goes down to -135% on the 0 setting idle is at 100%, as shown in the above photos ( T&é FX-30). I also have Throttle cut which also cut the engine.
  6. Don't you have on your throttle cut screen percentages ie +% and -%
  7. When I lived in the S/W of france, it was a monthly task repairing my 2CV tyres, where I live now my neighbour has 60+ metres of them separating our gardens, and yes on my third set of mower tyres even though I use that 'green' stuff in the inner tubes. It is now illegal to plant them in france.
  8. A turnout of Warbirds today, Spitfire, Stuka, P 47 and at the moment I was taking the photo an FW 190 was in the air, a silly winter temperature of 19°C,,,
  9. As said, take the C ratings with a pinch of salt, generally the more 'c's' the bigger and heavier the battery.
  10. Welcome to the forum, Dave, a new face is always good enough to see.
  11. No smoke or clouds are toxic in France, don't forget it is the EU,,,
  12. You can also use the reinforced rubber tubing as used on cars, my Stuka keeps loosing it's tyres ( Dia 80 ) it should have 100mm (4") maybe this week I will make a pair.
  13. When selecting active, you can choose which way you want to turn it on and off, or with a 3 way switch, off/on/off On/off/off etc.
  14. No Issues "yet", I also ( sadly) use a few planes with big batteries, but some retracts are delivered with a timer that one day will activate the 'magic smoke', that will change your way of setting up electric retracts.
  15. Page 83/84 a bit long-winded for me to reply, but similar to my FX-30 ( tg12) one of them cuts the engine, attention only a small amount you will have to fiddle with the servo end settings, the other one blocks the throttle only when you put the stick down, and it locks the throttle at the point that you have programmed the engine.
  16. The French fire is a building next to houses in a small town where there 'was' 900 tons of batteries now all gone up in smoke, the French authorities say as they did for tchernobyl that there is no risk of pollution to the locals,,😡,
  17. I have a couple of my planes wings and cockpits held on with magnets from old burnt out motors.
  18. Opps,,,,https://www.midilibre.fr/2024/02/18/video-les-impressionnantes-images-de-lincendie-dans-une-usine-de-lithium-en-aveyron-population-confinee-route-bloquee-11772625.php
  19. Any reason why you can't just run a bit of tape down the wing / fuselage gap, I used to do that on all my gliders, even my old 3.6m Multiplex DG- 600
  20. I have flown 'real' helicopters, in normal flight it is quite simple but hovering is really difficult ( Bell 47G)
