I’ve had a stroke at age44 last week!

Know your blood pressure is a good start to protecting yourself. -
It suddenly got better after my post, it's almost as if someone is watching.

What is it with weekend evenings, it sure looks like someone is stealing bandwidth.

I scan this site from time to time and wonder if anything actually sells... https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=aplaneoldebargain&store_cat=0&store_name=aplaneoldebargain&_oac=1 What were your experiences if you did buy something.

I've just been setting up a new model and the things I have found by comparing one model that works and one where it doesn't. Firstly, I always set the %age to 0 otherwise it seems to work backwards where the throttle closes only when it's still active. Secondly, if the servo rate is set much above 100% the throttle cut function diminishes to no effect, I found this happens at around 115%. If this is a problem, then the only fix is mechanical by changing the linkage. Once these are corrected, the only thing left is to set the switch to operate in the preferred direction.

Someone is advertising a ST carb on BMFA classifieds but frustratingly doesn't say what size it is. https://classifieds.bmfa.org/acadp_listings/super-tigre

It may be possible to find spare parts for current production engines to remove the need to manufacture difficult parts. That is assuming it's not against your philosophy to create something all of your own.

Tosh, Balsa cabin have poplar veneer as a substitute for Obechi in 5ft (1500mm) lengths and up to 15" wide. https://www.balsacabin.co.uk/product/poplar-veneer/ It's difficult to find on their website through the products listing.

I have noticed that a 4cell dry battery isn't man enough to operate a servo on a tester, I either use a NiMH or a LifFe pack to supply enough current. On another tack, I have also had a servo tester fail, it was one of those cheap metal clad ones, They are fairly useless for set-up purposes because the centre setting is quite far from centre.

There might be an on-board mixer that would do the job. -

Can you mix channel 5 to itself -100% to nullify the effect of the switch then mix the desired channel on the tx to ch5. This approach has worked on other brands of radio. -

ED, you weren't up late enough as it was off again Sunday night.

Again last night, some time after midnight, the site was inaccessible.

Is it applied with a brush?

Do you use PVA as well as wax or just wax on its own. I've heard that hairspray is a good substitute for PVA*. *PVA=poly vinyl alcohol, not poly vinyl acetate.

The site became inaccessible after 10:30 last night, before which it was intermittent for a couple of hours.

This site is flaky again, it seems that it's happening on weekend evenings. Threads taking minutes to load or even timing-out. Will we ever get an explanation as to what is causing this? Could it be that bandwidth is being subverted by the host to some other activity deemed more important than boys with toys.
