  1. Sarik have made the changes to the plan and cut parts. Impressive! Steve
  2. Woodn't you like to know? | RCM&E (modelflying.co.uk) Steve
  3. I've had a very nice reply from Adam. Thanks for the heads up, I'll get our designer to fix them in the laser cut parts, I'm not too sure if he can update the plan though. I'll let you know what we're doing about it once we've figured it out! As I'm sure you know it's a really new plan to us, so any other feedback is very much appreciated. The additional wood is always tricky for us as we work it out virtually and it's nearly never listed by designers. Also the additional wood list may only be the stuff that we keep in stock that fits that plane, so it might be best to delete the photo of that list online as it could cause trouble to a scratch builder if it's missing bits. thanks again, Adam Steve
  4. Is this any help? hawkerhurricane.pdf (tonynijhuisdesigns.co.uk)
  5. Too early to phone so I have sent an email. Steve
  6. I usually talk to Adam in production or email [email protected] with photos. Steve
  7. Thanks Peter, The webs are 59x31 mm which makes a loose fit. I cut a 59 mm strip then used the jig set at 31 mm. Now for another jig. This is for the packing pieces on the R3 ribs. Tested one glued in place Then cut another 16 just in case I lose one. Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum @Teacher, This is as far as I have got. The only part glued is the bottom spar to the bottom sheet, the rest is dry fit. I set up a simple jig to cut all the spar webs for both wings in one go. I will modify the R3 cut outs by gluing scrap 1/8" square balsa packing then make up more parts before continuing with the glue. Steve
  9. Here is a link to the full list of what they had.
  10. Started the wings by sanding the burnt wood off the ribs and test fitting the 1/4 spars. The R3 ribs are all the same and the spar cut outs are made to accommodate the dihedral brace. Not a big problem but if cutting your own parts, no problem at all now you know. Now cutting out the TE for the ribs to slot into. Steve
  11. Basic 3D cut parts and plan £30 from SLEC. If they have not sold out.
  12. I have made a start by popping out all of the cut parts. The wings will be built first so that I can use the fuselage ply doubler for something 🤔 to help shape the wing profile. Steve
  13. Thanks GG and Ron, I have always had a phobia about being late but old age is one thing I would not have minded being late for. Gliders are very forgiving in that any mistakes I make while flying more than ten mistakes high have no consequences. There is a lot of skill required to fly them well though. I am just beginning to recognise when the model finds rising air and then exploit the thermal. I am slowly learning, and flight times are increasing most noticeably in less than perfect conditions. I find them good fun. Bungee launching is something I want to have a go at because I have two gliders built by my sons and me in the early 90s that are bungee or tow line launch. I am looking forward to lots more fun. Cheers Steve
  14. Today was typical summer weather without the rain. Had two flights with my MPX Easystar which will be my last of the summer. All good things come to an end so from now on we can post in the Autumn topic.
  15. I had two flights with my MPX Easystar. Next to no wind and bright sunshine here in North Lincolnshire. A wonderful day at the field with me smiling from ear to ear. Cheers Steve
  16. Not finished yet Ron as health and age have become an issue for me. I am thinking of having it finished for next spring. At the moment I am looking at Hound Dog because it will be an easy and quick build that will get me back into building. Thanks for asking. Steve
  17. Delivered from Sarik yesterday. F1 is cut from 1/4 ply as are the U/C mounts LHS, RHS and base. From 1/8 ply the battery tray, fuselage wing bolt plate for the captive nuts, Aileron horn plates and Tailwheel mount. From 1/16 Aileron servo plates, C2 cowl plate and wing bolt plate. Looks like if it's on the drawing it's included in the cut parts. Steve
  18. and mtb is short for mountain bike I assume.
  19. Try SLEC they may still have the cut parts.
