David Gilder
Bit weak in my opinion!! Where were the Reds / Tutor / Tucanos / Dominies etc etc etc ... 30 seconds and it was all done!!!

Lima Hotel Foxtrot
Am I right in thinking that Huw Edwards confused the RAF Ensign flying under the Sea King with Wills' own standard? Also, exactly how does the Lancaster fit in with the Battle of Britain? Nitpicking, yes, surely it should be called the RAF Memorial Flight, or something. kc
I had just landed my model and then saw the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane fly over our field! Then a minute or two later the jets ( Tornados? ) flew past the other side of the field. Beats watching TV.They always seem to follow the A12 through Essex into London,
Big Bandit
Not even a shot of the spit, just a shot of the Hurricane, mind you we had a flyby last week of a Mk IX Spit with invasion stripes, so I'm happy. Cheers, Chris.
Big Bandit
L,H,F, it's called the B,B,M,F, probably is nit picking, but still looks good. BB. Edited By Big Bandit on 29/04/2011 21:15:
Chris Bott - Moderator
Wasn't impressed with the coverage from the Lanc cockpit. The reporter looked like he was going to throw up. Thank goodness the link went down...
Allan Bowker
The camera view looking down over the crowds from the Lancaster nose was the best part for me. The Typhoons are my favourite modern fighter but couldn't see much due to their altitude.

Barrie Dav 2
A lot of the reporters covering air events don't have much of a clue regarding the aircraft. I once saw a Mustang referred to as the famous B of B Spitfire. Of course, aircraft are a completely new technology and there is not much information about them available!!! But then, whenever did journalists get anything right?
James40
As ridiculous as it sounds, they only wanted a low-key event so no Red Arrows, no one of each type of aircraft, just a simple BBMF and a couple of fast air types. David, after 45 years service the Dominie retired in January this year so no more flypast's from those old girls.
winchweight
Sea King would have been nice / appropriate...
Solid Snake
They did have a Sea King towards the end Not sure a banner was a good idea, might have got caught in the tail rotor!
Djay
Well we had our own fly past at the flying field here in Dubai, with 4 Spitfires flying in (sort of ) formation, not many people present this week, probably all at the wedding. Normally we can muster more than 4 WW2 planes in the air at once. Darryl
Keiran Arnold
LHF BBMF History the current fleet of BBMF consists of Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancaster, Dakota and Chipmunks Eric, Whilst there is never enough spares for the Fast jet fleet the Typhoon fleet is Carrying out ops over Libya, has a flight stationed at the Falklands, is providing defence of the UK airspace so they are not grounded at all.
