Ian Jones
Great psuedo RAF markings on the topside and a nice neat job too Geoff. Good luck with the maiden, I'm sure you will love it.Edited By Ian Jones on 23/11/2011 00:33:

Tim Mackey
You're two days late on that Steve mate - passed the info on to a certain someone who has bought it to add to his collection. I would have probably had it, if I hadn't already bought all the stuff for, and started construction of my own. Come on man...keep up
Olly P
Hi Guys, Want to discover the joy of slope for myself and this PM is looking good (finish work at 2 and don't have to be in Sheffield til 7, it's only an hours drive) Looks like the wind on this side of the penines is due to be WSW moving W this PM. Anyone have any slopes between Manchester and Sheffield which would be suitable for a beginner in this condition? I'll be taking my EasyFly, so quite a large, classic shaped glider..... David Gilder
Nothing from me for a W or WSW I'm afraid Olly other wise I would have jumped at the chance. Our slope site in Glossop is SW. The best place really is going to be Bosley Cloud... Ian Jones, who is fairly new to slope went there with me a about 6 weeks ago and we had a fantastic day..... Theres a thread about it Here!! If you want I can let you know next time we are going! Dave
Olly P
Bit far south for today - would be dark by the time i got there! Would be great thats David, as you know no guarantee I'll make it with other commitments but would like to give a sloping a go!
Ian Jones
Yeah Olly it would be good to meet up again Sloping is great and (at the level I'm at) allows me to try flying at lots of different sites with just a Tx & 'plane. Unfortunately I'm prone to dragging a load of other clobber along too but it still works out.
Olly P
That it would Ian. Think I'd be destroyed if flying the Easy fly on a slope and doing combat though. If the bug bits (and it probably will) I will have to invest in a WT or similar. OllyEdited By Olly P on 25/11/2011 13:33:
Steve Houghton 1
Olly. If you're going to order a WT or Fusion I should do it now. When Big Phil ordered his WT only a few weeks ago, Alan at SAS told him he was going to only supply to locals and was going to stop the internet trade after Xmas. Olly P
Don't say that when I've promised the misses I won't get another A/C until either after christmas or selling another one! looks like I'll have to negotiate with her for my Xmas pressie!! Phil May
That's right Olly, Alan gave me the impression he wanted to stop internet trading in the new year, hopefully he will change his mind. Unable to comment on the Fusion but the W.T is wicked. I'm relatively new to sloping and started off with an old Zagi, but in my opinion, if you can fly powered models and you have a good instructor, then go straight for the W.T. Others will no doubt say different, it's just my experience. Do give it a go, you'll love it Phil
Olly P
Now fully westerly 23mph steady, gusting to 40 at the nearest weather station to the strip.... might not be flying today...
Phil May
Sounds like perfect W.T weather to me......
David Gilder
I think I will ask Santa to provide a slope that moves to face the wind all the time!!! Thats perfect WT weather!!! Edited By David Gilder on 25/11/2011 14:00:
