Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Isn't it depressing The windest summer I can remember. Yesterday wasn't bad here - but I had to do "family stuff" so couldn't go flying. Then today - I could get away from work a bit earlier - and its blowing 20-25mph here BEB
Bob Cotsford
I've got a day's leave booked for tomorrow, after looking at the forecast I might just slap a Rx and battery in the Flair Heron and head for the hills for the day.

Bob Cotsford
Rain hasn't been a problem for me this year, just the wind!

flytilbroke
Some folks are never happy. The SOUTHEAST just a few (plus maybe just a few more) weeks ago had the news media showing drought, with the crops in the fields in a bad way. Got to agree with the general sentiment about our long, hot, summer though, We got five days in April of that. Then wetter than average for the rest of it, Och Weel, my summer fuel will now last through the winter.
birdy
Better not be like this on the 17th / 18th...

Yep, same down here Ken. We had our summer in April too, except I was away skiing in Canada for 10 days and missed most if it! DW - get yourself something you can lob off a slope. Colley Hill isn't too far from TW16 (I worked in Sunbury for a year or two) and there's other slopes not too far away too. Last weekend I flew there both days, we even had somebody who'd come from High Wycombe to fly there...

Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Me neither - except of course it is a weekend I might like to go flying. But hey, why should that weekend be different from all the others BEB
Tim Hooper
I just feel sorry for the organisers of the rain/blown out events this year. Must be very disheartening. tim
