Devon Flyer
New one piece Winter slope suit arrived today. DETAILS HEREShould do the job perfectly. Colours are nicely subdued, so I won't stand out like a sore thumb. Suit is about half the weight of my fishing floatie and is easier to move around in. Hood is detachable, which is handy. It has a breast pocket and 2 hip pockets with hand warming slots. I'm 6'0" and 42" chest and the supplied XL size suit fits fine. Can't knock it atthe price - £29.99 & P&P. Ultymate
That looks a good buy, personally I think a bright colour can be a good safety feature up on the slopes though.

It also attracts attention; I prefer to blend in as much as I can, particularly on some of our permissive sites.

One where I have negotiated with the land owner for permission to fly ie.flying is not generally available to all and sundry. It pays to keep a low profile on some of these sites. Devon Flyer
Slope tested the suit today for about 2 1/2 hours at Woolacombe.Blowing 25 - 30mph NW. Ambient 4.5c - wind chill would take that a fair bit lower.Wearing a par of jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt underneath. Came home as warm as when I left the house.Easy to move around in and the 2 way zip is handy. Can't fault it at the price.Best £30 I've spent this year. Click on the piccie - I ain't really that fat! LOL PS. I must just add that I have no relationship with the company supplying these;, apart from being a satisfied customer. David Gilder
Just a quick question for Tim or David A.... What size do you think would be good for me as they dont have any info about the sizes! Cheers
Tim Mackey
I got a XXL and its a little tight TBH I reckon L, or maximum XL would probably do you .... skinny little wretchI hadent realised it was quilted quite so heavily, and it feels like its gonna need very little other clothing to keep you warm. Simon B
I think one of these looks handy for flat field flying too. I keep trying to get the motivation to go flying at the mo and the cold does put me off...
David Ashby - Moderator
Size L was fine for me Dave. Mine's for the flat field too Simon.
Devon Flyer
Been wearing mine on the last 4 flying sessions and can say that it keeps me perfectly warm and dry. No need to wear a lot underneath, I just wear a pair of jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt, so you can move around quite freely and no nasty little drafts creeping in anywhere.Used it in 30+mph and 4.5C ambient the other day and I could have stayed out all day quite comfortably, when others were complaining that they were getting cold. Peter Miller
Just read a review in on a shop's website, Said the reviewer was 5'11" and average build and XL fitted him. That is the one for me. Mine is on order now, again for flat field use. Might be easier that fleece lined trousers and thick jackets and mountaineering cap and.....? I used to wear a pair of Skiing Salopettes which were good but a hassle to get on etc.
Devon Flyer
I'm 6'0" and the XL fits very nicely. The 2 way zip is handy.
Peter Miller
I have a 44" chest and like a fleece etc under the jacket. How will XL cope with that?
Tim Mackey
I really dont think you'll need a fleece as well. XXL fits my chest area OK ( 46" and 6' 2" ), but the suit has strong elasticated waist, and this is a little tight around my, er, sticky bun cupboard
