Martin Harris - Moderator
That's a lovely job you've made of it, Jeff. Looks very atmospheric. My (fairly limited) experience with the model is that they can be a bit of a handful on the take-off run. Perhaps just the example I flew? But just in case, get plenty of practice with your (mode 2) left thumb in the meantime and make sure the take-off is dead into wind - and get plenty of flying speed before climbing away... jeff2wings
Well just to give a final update on this thread, the maiden flight was dually carried out on the morning of our bbq/scale competition .The ASP 52 swinging a apc 13x6 sport prop carried the N-27 into the air with no problems, only a small amount of trim on the rudder and elevator where needed, and the landing in a stiffening breeze was accomplished without bounce or swing. And its second flight was of course its competition flight, did some low level loops, stall turns and fly buys that must have impressed the judges as I won, which was nice

Vintage
Congratulations!! I like very much! I'd like to this work to the Puppeteer. Did you add lead for balance it?
jeff2wings
Only on the N 11 however be aware that the construction of tail surfaces needs to be altered for weight reduction, most find the need for some nose weight with the Puppeteer so some care needed if you go this route. If you're looking too improve its 'scale ' like appearance ,altering the u/c and adding flying wires along with an authentic colour scheme can make a big difference
