Ken Wallis at the ripe old age of 96 , who flew as a James Bond stunt double in 'You Only Live Twice' has been honoured for his lifetime contribution to aerospace.

You may not have the slightest bit of interest in autogyro's but you just have to take your hat off to him for the things he has achieved.

There isn't many left like this true English Gent!

Very well deserved! I think he is the sort of guy that the UK should be rightly proud of and an honour is very appropriate.

He has always been a 'gent' and very self effacing always willing to share his passion for flying in general and autogyros in particular.

I seem to remember watching him displaying at RAF Abingdon the Queen's Silver Jubilee(?) where he had a little accident when one rotor touched the ground and an ungracious early arrival occurred! he just shrugged himself off and walked away waving to the crowd.

A thoroughly decent guy.
