Link below Ken Wallis You may not have the slightest bit of interest in autogyro's but you just have to take your hat off to him for the things he has achieved. Still it could be worse, the boys in Bomber Command had to wait until most of them were dead before they were honoured - and then it was down to a private appeal. Terry Walters Posted October 25, 2012 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Very well deserved! I think he is the sort of guy that the UK should be rightly proud of and an honour is very appropriate. He has always been a 'gent' and very self effacing always willing to share his passion for flying in general and autogyros in particular. I seem to remember watching him displaying at RAF Abingdon the Queen's Silver Jubilee(?) where he had a little accident when one rotor touched the ground and an ungracious early arrival occurred! he just shrugged himself off and walked away waving to the crowd.
