Roy Mundy
A nice clean build, it looks like you have a nice clean work bench with plenty of room.
TheFlyingCrust
The header subtitle says 63 inch wingspan but the plan says 72 inch. Hmmmm .... Do I suspect the plan has been resized? Lovely looking build 'though. I like the jig for holding the fuselage sides together. Might have a go at making something similar. adrian lawrence 1
Looks great, making me think I should start on mine. Had the plans and ribs for 2 years now, long overdue starting building.
jeff2wings
OK ,time to folow Tony's lead and do the "lets see how it looks " photos ! Adrian , mass build in January would be as good a time as any to start ! BTW I have altered the consruction a bit from plan for ease of building. adrian lawrence 1
Sounds like a good time to start Jeff, I may have the decorating finished by then (as well as the quadcopter and super 60 build!!). I think we are all guilty of altering construction for one reason or another.
jeff2wings
Front brace fixed wing bolt fixings in place ribs notched for r/brace engine time ! OS FS 40 Had to relieve the rear of the bearer to move tank over, throttle servo will sit next to it
jeff2wings
Had this U/C in the" spare U/C" drawer Next ; fit radio ,finish cowl and then covering ! think I will go silver/blue or silver /red ???

jeff2wings
Look's like the wife is going for a white/blue scheame for her plane , wont' have to paint the spats then !
WolstonFlyer
Wow, this is a very neat looking build It is a lovely looking plane.
Ronaldo
Hey that's a very nice clean build. Great to see some good old 'traditional' building being done. Make me want to get down my 'Balsa USA Nieuport 28' kit off the top of my wardrobe and start a winter build project. The kit's been sat up there for years ... and years ......... and ............. yes, years LOL
Dave Miller
I agree, very impressive and I love the spats.
jeff2wings
Thanks for the positive comments guys , this is just a warm up for the mass build in Jan think I may need to buy more wood ,there's a fare bit o' timber in these old models LOL ! The phrase "made to last" springs to mind WF your Tinker build is looking v/good ! just remember to think of the plans as a guide ,not "set in stone " and tailor it to your needs . WolstonFlyer
Just a warm up - are you building another one? - Then again why not! I agree there is a very high parts count in the designs but they don't feel too complicated to build. Thanks for the compliment about my Tinker
Danny Fenton
And a few commented that the Barnstormer wasn't a very attractive model, yours most certainly is, well done, and some lovely neat balsa craft there, well done Cheers Danny
jeff2wings
Beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder with just about everything in life (unless it’s a Fiat Multipla, that’s just ugly!) however, I have made a few changes that has altered its appearance (the Barnstormer, not the Multipla, that’s beyond help !) one of the advantages of building from plans . re-done the cockpit sheeting with 3/32 instead of 1/16 throttle servo in rud/elev servos in , that's the radio installed then !
