Phil Winks
Looking good Tony, I see you've left the sheeting of above where the raydome fits, I must get on with that mechanism though be warned it may take till June before I have a working example for you, however I'm now totally convinced it will fit and work provided the servo I have chosen is strong enough, should be though, nearly 2kg/cm of torque. Colin Leighfield
It's very encouraging Tony, this is going to be really impressive. Did you finish off the Nihuis 72" Lancaster? I was wondering if you'd finalised the electrics on that one.
Tony Bennett
fitting the electrics in the lanc at the moment. got everything, its just raising the enthusiasm to tackle it.
Tony Bennett
access holes in the bomb bay floor. bomb bay doors cut in half now. Phenolic tubes glued into the nose section ready for fixing into the fuselage. and now fixed into the fuselage. when they have all set i can cut the nose off tomorrow and fit the ally tubes and make up the bolt mounts to enable the whole nose to be removed for storage and transport. Colin Leighfield
Rapid progess on this one Tony, looks as if it should be practical as well as realistic.
Monz
Luverly Tony! What is that brown tubing that you're using?
Tony Bennett
well i have glued the ally tube into the phenolic tubes and now the nose slides on easy as pie. need to to the bolts next. Then i tackled the bomb doors, cut off most of the formers to give a nice internal shape and sanded them to fit the hole. fitted some simple hinges. got some space in there. got to work out the opening mechanism next and maybe a depth charge drop system as well. fin cores have been cut by dylan. Phil 9
Tony why does the nose come off? is it just to make it smaller to transport?

Lindsay Todd
Not a bi of it, I've been doing a Danny Fenton tonight with the old blue foam to make moulds for the front glazing, never used the stuff before but pretty impressed but I'll leave that for an update tomorrow on my build blog.
