Jez Harris 1
Although I'm a long way off getting to the painting stage of my 1/3 scale Moth, I am keen to choose a colour scheme. I like to pin a picture up to remind me what I'm working towards as it keeps me motivated - especially when the going gets frustrating!! As I was recently given a great suggestion for a 1/4 scale Fokker Dviii after asking for help on here, I thought I would try again. To narrow it down for you.. Forget Yellow - hate it and its a pain to paint. No camouflage schemes - I much prefer the civilian schemes. Definitely not silver - there's already a silver one in the team and I don't think I could match that one! Not the silver/red trainer scheme - painting all those squares would send me nuts.... fly-navy
First one of Chris's pics Jez, without a doubt. Red / Cream always did it for me, so pretty please so I can like it when I look at it. Thought you had a lot more to do before this model anyway. Robert Parker
Hi Jez, Here's a couple of my old Tigers, both based on full size aircraft My 48" span plan built. I found this based on L-6938 from the book "The Tiger Moth" by Stuart McKay also in there is a tiger Moth painted as a tiger with the tail wrapping around the rudder. My Aerotech 66" Tiger as shown in Chris Bolts photos, though I was rushing a little applying the decals and got the A &O mixed up. TinPot Pilot
There are a number of alternative schemes here .
Ian Easton
I would paint it in the colours that I would want if I were to buy a brand new Tigermoth today - make it your own Tigermoth.
