Dave Bond 2
Hi All,Its getting to that time of year again. Does anyone have any novel ideas for gifts for fellow modelers? This should be easy ..... but it is not. I was wondering if you have received any gifts that do not break the bank that you have been very happy with? I hope others will enjoy this thread too. extra slim
Yeah, it is tricky to buy for us lot, as we tend to have to provide detail and links for specific stuff we need, and that takes away any surprise element, and a sanding block wrapped up, is a little dull I guess. In the past I have had, club subscriptions divvied up across the family, magazine subscriptions, tickets for nats, credits in local model shops etc...but one of my favourite items were some "personalised stickers" from the kids, for my planes...well my favourite cartoon type character to stick on my models, think they got them done online, and comedy pilots (probably came from the charity shop!), but represented the fun spirit of this time of year, oh and some "flying T shirts"...only for use at the field with some quite humorous imaging!. looking with interest to see what others chip in with. Tim Hooper
Nerds and geeks are always hard to buy for. We have specific needs, and near enough just won't be good enough. Money will always fit though. tim
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
I never get anything model related, they reckon I spend too much on the hobby through the year, ah well at least in a few weeks I'll have some new socks without holes in em
Mowerman
SWMBO always wants to buy me a new model, it is hard work to convince her that I have enough If you have a local model shop ,do they do gift vouchers.

trebor
I'll probably end up with thermal socks instead of the normal ones

Steve Houghton 1
I gave my SWMBO a choice of three models from the NCFM range, all available at T9 Hobby Sports. I just emailed her the links to each. This meant that at least there will be an element of surprise when I unwrap the prezzie on Christmas morning. But what I'd really like is a pair of sun glasses that shows where the thermals are. Anyone know where I can get a pair?
