willhappy
hi just a thought but would a Fauval Av 36 be any good to fly of the slopes and cliffs. Was thinking about 1 meter wing span? willhappy
Chris Barlow
I hope so, I plan to build one later this year! Seen one fly at Old Warden and it was very graceful and pulled very tight loops. Plan
Andy Meade
I've got one at 3rd scale, has recently been re-covered. Not flown her off the slopes yet, but I don't see why she shouldn't go well. Oh, mine has the bottom surface fold-out airbrakes too Edited By Andy Meade on 07/04/2016 09:26:
Harry Twist
Lovely aircraft - personally I would go larger than 1metre though - I reckon you need to be more like 2 metre minimum - this is just my opinion- go for what suits you and your flying/landing sites. Would be a great sight off the slope! Regards h

willhappy
Well 1 meter is a good size, not much storage space so its got to be small will
Trevor
I'm contemplating this as a possible build for next winter too and have been looking at the Gordon Waite design linked to by Chris's earlier posting. So far though, I haven't managed to find any build logs or flying reports on it, even though the plan has been around a fair while. Any insights, recent or historic, would be gratefully received. KiwiKid
A couple of guys have built larger scratch built and ARF models in the States and found them a bit unsatisfactory as thermalers o/a drag and sink rate, but I think the model would make a great sloper. By the way, it would also qualify as a PSSer **LINK**
KiwiKid
This one at 1.5m looks quite interesting: **LINK**
