David Davis
I have a clubmate, Francois Dutreuil. In December 1915 his grandfather was shot down and killed while at the controls of his Farman 11 which was returning from a bombing raid. Francois is in the process of planning to build a replica of the Farman with a view to flying it at our c lub's WW1 Day in 2018. He has already drawn up the plan on CAD but is looking for turnbuckles of about 10mm long. Those I have seen on DB Sport and Scale and on Mick Reeve's site are bigger than this. Does anyone know of a source of smaller turnbuckles? A shop which specialises in model boats perhaps?

Geoff S
Any model boat component supplier will have them but they may be called bottle screws which is what we called the ones on dinghies to adjust the rigging. I'm almost sure I have some I bought to rig my Thames sailing barge when I eventually get around to it. Geoff

Ernie
Hi David, I've noticed some interesting wee bits in French angling shops. I know they are not what you need, but you might be able to cobble something up ernie
