MAD Dave
I am putting together my shiny new Pulse 60 and, as advised, am replacing the undercarriage assembly with something a little more "stout". This renders the supplied two fuselage securing screws too short. In order to acquire replacements of an appropriate length, I first of course need to identify the thread but have been unable to do so. I do not believe it to be anything metric but the favoured guess to date is 5/32 BSW. Does anyone know for sure what it is before I am forced to purchase a box of 100?! Denis Watkins
Page 15 of the manual Dave Step 1 Attach the landing gear to the fuselage using two 6-32 x 1/2-inch socket head screws and two #6 washers. Note the landing gear is swept towards the rear of the fuselage as shown in the photo. Phil 9
It will be an imperial thread. What I prefer to do in this situation is to knock out the blind nuts and replace them with a metric nuts. 5mm it a good choice and then you can use plastic bolts from slec. Phil 9
However I had no problems with the standard u/c on my pulse
John Lee
They are certainly imperial on my Pulse 40, they take a 7/64 (2.8mm) alan key which indicates a 6/32 thread. Afraid I can't speak for the 60. Modelfixings will sell you packets of 5 imperial socket screws for less than a £1.
Ron Gray
Most US of A kits use imperial and I’m always losing the small canopy retaining ones on my GP Revolver. So, like Phil, I’ve replaced them with metric T nuts and bolts of which I have plenty and they’re cheaper!
