Keith Evans 3
I'm currently using a short length of old petrol hose pipe on my PAW 35 held on with a hose clip as an extender .What do others use to get the mucky stuff away from the model. I'm not thinking of a custom made job or anything that requires a lathe .
bert baker
I’ve used plastic air pipe thick walled to good effect on a PAW
brokenenglish
I use silicone tube. Find the appropriate diameter to get a good tight push fit on the PAW silencer outlet and you don't need any attachment device.
Engine Doctor
What ever you use don't scrimp on the diameter of exhaust oroextend it too far . A free flow for the exhaust is needed as too much back pressure will adversely affect the engine and can cause overheating etc. Edited By Engine Doctor on 29/08/2018 10:19:

Peter Miller
Just as a point of interest. You can solder up exhausts from tinplate and bits of brass tube using soft solder. IT works for diesel but NOT for glows.
Keith Evans 3
Hi all .I've all my glow engines fitted with standard B@Q plastic pipe ,some of it up to about 9" to 10" long for about 6 to 7 years now to minimise the mess .Yes I agree that power may be down but the way I fly ,mostly on 1/4 to 1//2 throttle it is not a concern and I suffer no over heating . On the diesel side the B@Q pipe melts through in two flights .I stayed away from silicon as I believe it is attacked by the fuel hence the use of Tygon for all fuel lines . The current length of tubing on my PAW 35 is about 2" and seems to run fine . Thanks for all the feedback. Keith
