Jeremy Scott-hake
Mine was a bit wrinkly in places a quick session with covering iron sorted it out, wrinkles have not returned even in the summer sun! The servos I used in the wings are Savox SH 0255MG. I have used Savox servos in helicopters they are very reliable . The current motor draws is 790 watts

Mark H75
Afternoon all, after my experience from 2 flights, I would definitely recommend beefing up the firewall to the fuselage. This happened to me earlier today whilst mid-loop af full power
bees
After having the phase -5 bought for christmas i had a quick check for any damage and then put it on the back burner till i finished another build. How ever having started the Phase-5 build and getting round to connecting ailerons, flaps i have found a twist in the inboard side of the aileron on both wings. Has anybody else experienced this, so disappointed with this model.
dave parnham
Not finished assembling mine yet but so far no complaints at all, everything is as straight as it should be. Although my rudder hinge slots were so big the fuzzy hinges would not stick with CA so I replaced the hinges with pinned ones and epoxyed them in place. What batteries do you use on this? 4s ? bees
Hi, After nearly 6 months of waiting i eventually got to maiden the Phase 5 this afternoon. Pressure is on as it was a christmas present from my wife so i did not fancy taking it back in pieces. Need not to worry as the Phase 5 5 flew well, needed a bit of up elevator trim so need to adjust the controls or cg before the next flight and also the crow braking as it just ballooned up when activated so will have to give it some more down trim. Managed to do a perfect landing with out crow and even managed not to damage the fragile cowl. One question is how far back is your batt as my 3s 3300 is way back in the fuslarge nearly in the wing compartment to get the cg correct but overall well pleased with my first flight. Mel Jones
I fly mine using a 4S lipo, it sits a fair way back but not under the wing, the end of the lipo is against the forward wing former. I did damage the cowl, 3d printed a new one which is about 3 times heavier but so much more robust.
Sean Creech
Just received my Phase 5E and started putting it together. The folding prop comes with a collett that seems to be too small to fit on a standard 4mm motor, how did you guys fit yours?
bees
Having a dodgy esc i finally replaced it and took the Phase 5-e to the field for the first time in months. Last outing it flew well but ballooned up with crow but after closer inspection i realised that i had added up elevator instead of down regarding crow. I had three flights today to get it trimmed out and it now flys great and slows down with crow giving me perfect landings. Really nice model and glides for ever even with no thermals about and wished i had flown it in warmer weather but you never know we might still get some nice weather yet. Its a keeper. Frank Skilbeck
Just to come full circle, I never did get a Phase 5e and covert it to a pure glider, but I did nab a 2nd hand Phase 6, perfect
MaxG
During lockdown I have built a Phase 2 pretty well to plan. Have fitted an attachment to the wing to take a power pylon so I can use it on the flat. I set out to build it for free and managed to do that . I bought nothing to complete the build, everything came from stuff I had in the shed from balsa to covering and electrics. Just need to balance it and maiden it.
