pete startup
The wife saw this strange covered RCM&E in a local newsagent and nearly bought it thinking it was a new mag I didn't know about. I've never seen it before either. Anybody have the story? As a subscriber I already had it of course. Ray Wood 4
It's the American edition I think ?
Phil Cooke
Yep - the US branded mag - a few issues back a number of UK subscribers received this version somehow in the mail instead of the regular RCM&E - I think the article content is identical throughout, but Im not sure - are the adverts tailored for the US market - I guess so?! Gary Manuel
I thought it was spelt "Airplane" in America.
pete startup
A quick Google doesn't throw up much but there are loads for sale under this banner on eBay, all in the US. I guess that clears that one up.
Robin Colbourne
Posted by Gary Manuel on 27/11/2019 20:18:44: I thought it was spelt "Airplane" in America. At the moment they do, but there's hope yet if we continue to educate them...
Martin Harris - Moderator
Just be sure that you never call it a plane...
Jim Purcha
I originally bought it as " R/C Model Aeroplanes" at Chapters or Indigo Bookstores. Ended up subscribing, and getting RCM&E mailed to Canada. No savings on subscribing though. Jim
Cuban8
Posted by Gary Manuel on 27/11/2019 20:18:44: I thought it was spelt "Airplane" in America. If you watch old American films they often refer to 'Aeroplane' rather than 'Airplane', so maybe a modern trend. While we're at it 'Stabiliser' or the horrible term 'Stab' seems to be creeping into the magazine rather than TAILPLANE.

Piers Bowlan
What I find extradorinaiy Pete, is that your wife spotted a model aeroplane magazine and then nearly bought it!
