J D 8 - Moderator
When first married we live in a cottage in the local village. The neighbours were quite types no trouble at all. The were in the grave yard. Every Sunday the church bell would ring at eight in the morning, trouble was the bell had a crack and gave a toneless twonk Has since been fixed but that was some thirty years later. Second all you say of winging incomers.
Robert Cracknell
Many years ago when first into the hobby we had a NIMBY who lived about 1/2 mile from the strip and would complain vigorously to the local council on the sight of model aircraft. Apparently he was a Hercules pilot invalided out for being deaf..! Subsequent noise measurements at his premises proved too small to be of consequence. IDD15
Interesting video on Harbour Air’s continuing project to electrify its Beaver floatplanes in Vancouver BC. Loved the comment about pilots and mechanics! 😈 eBeaver Unsurprisingly the paperwork is always a challenge that should not be under estimated. idd
john davidson 1
Yes, interesting comment about conversion to electric and lengthening the nose for the cg. Just like converting models but I was surprised that the batteries were in the passenger space. It is experimental though and obviously purpose built would be different,Also mention of ferries , tugs and buses going electric sharing the same development issues,
Chris Walby
Thanks iDD15, game changer when it comes to service intervals and charging at 800V is interesting. As noted one of the major limitations will be charging infrastructure once the have got over the type approval...where have we heard that before!
