Marc Bonner
Hi all, first time connecting the battery, receiver and esc I had the constant blinking of the orange led. I tried binding with the binding button on the receiver but it didn’t work(no binding plug with this receiver). On my next attempt the receiver is lifeless. I have tried 3 different lipos and 2 different esc and just can’t get anything ??? what am I doing wrong ?? Esc plugged into throttle port on receiver, battery connected to Esc Any help will be greatly appreciated
Frank Skilbeck
Have you got the ESC servo plug in the correct way round?
Marc Bonner
Initially I plugged in with the black wire to the outside but I have tried both ways. Could I have damaged the receiver by doing this ?
Denis Watkins
The black wire is to the outside Marc Are you using a bind plug in the Bind/Data socket ? This Rx can be bound there Edited By Denis Watkins on 21/01/2020 12:33:
Marc Bonner
Hi Dennis, the set didn’t come with a bind plug. It has a bind button on the face of the receiver. I am told by the retailer that the receiver should be already bound to the set but I don’t think a constant blinking led means that. I can’t get any life from it at all now. Denis Watkins
Start again Tx off Find a bind plug or join the outer 2 pins of the Data plug, at the opposite end from AUX1 The Led flashes rapidly Switch on the Tx in Bind mode Could take a few seconds until Solid, non flashing Led means binding took place All this with the Throttle stick Down to set motor off failsafe
Marc Bonner
I will have to get a binding plug from the local shop. Not sure how to join the pins. Surely I should still get it to light up with the esc in the throttle port and connected to the Lipo ?? Thats what is bothering me
Denis Watkins
If you have a regular 4.8v receiver Nimh pack Just try that with black outer, should rapid flash the Led Scenario of what may have happened (unlikely but possible) As you joined up, due to full throttle, may have cut everything off as it should Reverse the throttle On the Tx
Mr.B.
Marc, 1. Spektrum Rxs do not come pre bound to the Tx 2. A flashing LED means the RX is not bound 3. No led means no power to the Rx or a dead Rx 4. You are unlikely to have damaged the Rx by inserting the power the wrong way round 5.You do not need a bind plug with this Rx 6.If you have a satellite this should be connected Check the power supply is correct. I have a had a Speky Rx that died straight out of the box so it's not unknown. Can you post a photo of your set up?
Shaun Walsh
From the instructions: The AR6600T/AR6270T receivers must be bound to the transmitter before they will operate. Binding is the process of teaching the receiver the specific code of the transmitter so it will only connect to that specific transmitter. 1. Connect the remote receiver (6600T only) and any telemetry sensors to the main receiver. 2. Push and hold the bind button on the receiver while powering up the receiver. Release the Bind button once the orange LED starts to flash continuously, indicating that the receiver is in bind mode. Tip: It is still possible to use a bind blug in the BIND/BATT port if desired. 3. Put your transmitter in bind mode. 4. The bind process is complete when the orange LED on the receiver is solid. If the batteries and ESCs you have used are known to be good and you don't get any light illuminated when you follow the instructions then return the receiver for replacement. Marc Bonner
I’ve done it !!!! I held the bind button on the receiver before plugging the esc into throttle port. I don’t know what made me do this but it worked. I turned the tx on holding the bind button and orange led went solid. Turned off and back on and it’s all sorted. Thankyou everyone for your kindness to a complete novice today.
bert baker
Sometimes I use a small 4.8 nicad and a spare servo just to bind the reciver to transmiter Before doing fitting all the servo conections
