Litho

Can't remember where but I read a recommendation to use a strong spray on contact adhesive to ensure a thin even layer of glue.

I wanted to put on large litho panels over light balsa sheeting.

I used this and I think I would use it again certainly in preference to epoxy which I would find messy and laborious to apply as well as heavy and expensive.

I have always used contact adhesives like UHU . You have to apply the adhesive evenly though as any dragged adhesive , through over spreading , can show through when the litho is rubbed down. Never tried epoxy.

I have use impact contact adhesive and had similar results. Nasty stuff but it clings like..err, chocolate to a blanket.

Cheers, Guys, went with contact adhesive and it worked a treat. It would have been difficult without an instant grab adhesive as the component is a shape that would be almost impossible to clamp in place while curing took place.

I'm all electric so fuel ingress won't be an issue but I think a drop of cyano wicked round the edges would be a plan.

Thanks,

David
