New BMFA guidelines state that all ariels must be enclosed within a fluorescent yellow tube not less than 4' in length. When the sheath is fitted in the pits the pilot in charge must be escorted to the flightline by walking backwards and shepherded by no less than four duly trained and insured BMFA registered inspectors. The tx must be held parallel to the ground in order to maintain ideal balance and prevent lower back strain.
