How a wing produces lift

Failing to take into account curiosity of airflow, the airflow at the top can’t see what’s happening, through the wing, and rushes to to see what is happening further back, and is rushing to find out, creating  a low pressure area on the top surface.

How does a helicopter fly? They vibrate so much the earth rejects them.😁

At least the ones I flew in did vibrate a lot. Sat in the back it was fascinating watching rivets rotating in their holes.

Noted this to the winchman. Good old Sea King, 50,000 rivets in loose formation.

I’d always heard that they simply beat the air into submission.
I’ve often wondered why the principle of strapping a piece of buttered toast to a cat’s back hasn’t been widely adopted.  As we all know, a dropped cat will always land on its feet and toast always lands butter side down so the result can only be that the combination will stay clear of the ground.
