Martin McIntosh
Has this place died altogether? Just tried to order a number of items and it comes up `No current shipping method to UK`.
kevin b
Might as well have done Martin. HobbyKing is an American owned Chinese company (or is that Chinese owned American company). Either way they have little, if any interest in selling to the U.K. You will probably get what you are looking for cheaper at AliExpress, or even through retailers in the U.K. I have just bought some lipos from the local LMS £3.00 cheaper each than I can find anywhere on the internet, by the time I have paid international shipping charges. I recently obtained some Chinese covering film that as far as I can tell is the same as Hobbyking and it works out at £4.00 per metre including shipping. Finding bargains now is becoming harder and harder though. I think the "good times" are certainly over regarding value for money. There now seem to be a lot more ARTFs available than for the last couple of years, but the prices are a little eye watering. Thankfully I build my own. Philip Lewis 3
I can get tools delivered to the UK and batteries as well, (couldn't get much more as most are out of stock), make sure you are signed into the site and that it has you as in the UK, press calculate on the shipping and you should get a choice. Having said that with the current shipping rates HK and the fact that they won't sell out of the EU HK has become pretty irellevant, even if by chance they actually have something in stock! Martin McIntosh
Thanks for the replies; I was definitely logged in correctly, it is a saved login. Started from scratch and tried again but same result when I tried to checkout. Unfortunately some of the parts I wanted are not available elsewhere. I have used AliExpress and Banggood a fair bit recently and found delivery to be fairly quick. You have to be very careful on Ali because it can be quite confusing as to what you are actually buying i.e. three glowplugs or just one piece. Andy Stephenson
Be careful when buying glowplugs, particularly OS No8s there are some obvious fakes out there from the likes of ebay. I bought some to find they weren't genuine and they fail when first run.

Martin McIntosh
Thanks Andy, I got some of those from one of the above on line stores and they were fine, could even have been ebay. You pay your money and take your chances sometimes. Never buy ebay servos though.
Andy Stephenson
Martin, were those plugs laser engraved with the number or stamped. The lasered ones are the fakes.
