Flying Squirrel
Part of my current build calls for part of the cowl to be from litho plate, can anybody recommend a source or suggest the best alternative please. I dare say just ally sheet will be fine but what gauge? Sorry if the answer is already out there but searching didn't give me one
Robert Cracknell
Depends how big a piece you require. I have successfully used soft drink cans opened up and annealed. Anneal by rubbing bar soap onto the surface and heat gently with a blowlamp until the soap turns black. The sheet can then be polished with fine scourer and then metal polish and usually cut with stout scissors to the shape required.

Andy J
Look in your local pages for offset-printers. Once used they sell them on for scrap.
